Stills from footage of the nazis who vandalized the George Floyd memorial in Brooklyn.

Original story below:

A memorial mural to George Floyd in Olney was defaced by Patriot Front Neo-Nazis overnight.

Sometime last night, Fascists associated with the Neo-Nazi group Patriot Front painted and stenciled over the George Floyd memorial at N. 5th st and Olney Ave.

Patriot Front is a splinter faction of Vanguard America, one of the major organizers of the Unite the Right rally in 2017. Vanguard America brought James Fields to Charlottesville, where he plowed his car into a crowd of Anti-Fascist protestors, murdering Heather Heyer and injuring many others.

More recently locally, the group has engaged in late night provocations like these, putting up flyers and stickers in Center city and S. Philly.

Patriot Front has a large amount of crossover in membership with the New Jersey European Heritage Association (NJEHA), which as also run propaganda ops in Philly from time to time.

NJEHA is led by Dan D’Ambly and Ron Sheehy, both of New Jersey, who we have listen in our local fascists section.

This thread on twitter also has lots of info on NJEHA/Patriot Front associates in the area.

We will be updating this story as we get more info. Anyone with any information about who defaced the George Floyd memorial should contact us.

How a neo-Nazi Musician Became a Philly Cop: The Brian P. Haughton Story

from Idavox

The many faces of Brian P. Haughton: left, as a Philly police officer, center as a law enforcement coordinator, right as a member of Arresting Officers (red circle).

Imagine if you will, you being a person of color that learns you were arrested or assaulted by a cop who for a good chunk of his life before he became one was a neo-Nazi musician who playing in a band called Arresting Officers! You just might feel a way about that. So should your attorney who should question how fair your arrest was.

While his name was not mentioned, an article in the current edition of Rolling Stone about White supremacy in American policing makes reference to a former Philadelphia police officer and trainer who used to be in a well-known band associated with the neo-Nazi scene in the city.

“A Philadelphia cop played drums in a racist skinhead band through the mid- to late-Nineties before joining the police force, serving until his retirement a few years ago,” the article read, noting further that he  did not respond to interview requests. While this was a vague reference in the article it is well known that  Brian P. Haughton was the drummer for the ironically named band Arresting Officers before becoming a police officer for 21 years, later retiring and becoming a police trainer, a role that he is prominently in today.

The first Arresting Officers album.

Formed in 1987, Arresting Officers was a Philadelphia-based Oi!/RAC (Rock Against Communism) band that put out two albums for the German label Rock-O-Rama Records, as well as a 7-inch for Street Rock N Roll, a sub-label for Rock-O-Rama. Both labels were known for releasing albums by neo-Nazi bands such as Skrewdriver before Rock-O-Rama was reportedly shut down in a 1994 police raid. Haughton also contributed to the band Break the Sword, which released an album on Resistance Records. This project included not only Joe Rowan, the lead singer of Nordic Thunder who was killed on his birthday in 1994, but also Scott Stedeford, a member of the Aryan Republican Army who was alleged to have conspired with Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh before he bombed the federal building there, and who committed a series of bank robberies in the Midwest from 1992 to 1994. Stedeford is reportedly due to be released from federal prison this summer after serving over twenty years for his role in those robberies.

Haughton graduated from the police academy in 1995 and embarked on a 21-year career as a Philadelphia police officer which included working on SWAT teams. When he retired from the force he became an instructor and now works with the Middle Atlantic-Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network (MAGLOCLEN), which is part of a communication and information sharing network in law enforcement. Ironically, while a police officer he was tasked to work the Democratic National Convention in 2016, which saw some controversy when Officer Ian Hans Lichterman was observed during a Black Resistance March sporting a tattoo of a German eagle beneath the word “Fatherland” on his left arm. Lichterman, who was cleared of any wrongdoing by Internal Affairs but is no longer a Philadelphia police officer, saw earlier controversy when his name showed up in data from several neo-Nazi and Klan websites that were hacked and leaked.

The investigation Rolling Stone conducted revealed that police chiefs and unions frequently fail to address racism and White supremacy within in the ranks, thereby creating a climate where White supremacists have been free to infiltrate police forces and grow their numbers and influence.

Aggravated Assault/Chaos 88 Frontman Warren Meikle, ROT IN HELL!

from Philly Antifa

Warren Mieckle wasted his entire life.

Idavox is reporting that lifelong Neo-Nazi bonehead Warren Meikle has finally died. From the site:

“Meikle was an early member of Atlantic City “Skinheads”, who in the eighties was one of the more violent hate groups in New Jersey… Meikle was among the more prominent members of the group because of his band Aggravated Assault, who’s album It Could Happen To You – the title song that threatened harm coming to those mentioned in the lyrics – was put out by the neo-Nazi label Resistance Records in 1993. Another Nazi label, Tri-State Terror, released its second album Out on Bail as well as a split release with Blue Eyed Devils titled Hate Crimes. Later, Meikle would form another band, Chaos 88 which put out three releases…

In recent years, Meikle had married Pittsburgh tattoo artist Lettia Suchevich and moved there from Atlantic City. Neo-fascist stickers including that of his band Aggravated Assault were reported seen and taken down by antifa in Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh City Paper retracted a story about female tattoo artists that featured Suchevich after it was learned the writer included a photo of the artist wearing the t-shirt of her husband’s band, and doctored the photo to remove the swastika tattoo on her arm. Meikle’s Facebook page lists him as divorced, and he eventually returned to New Jersey sometime in the fast few years. Two years ago, it was reported that Meikle was seriously injured in a two-car collision in Southampton, NJ that tied up traffic for four hours.”

He won’t be missed.

Neo-Nazi Profile: Perry Maholland Jr of Levittown, Pennsylvania

from Anonymous Comrades Collective

In today’s report we would like to present this concise profile on a Pennsylvanian neo-Nazi who runs a fledgling social media website that caters to neo-Nazis, fascists, antisemites and admirers of Adolph Hitler. Allow us to introduce:

Perry Maholland Jr. of Levittown, Pennsylvania

Perry Maholland Jr’s adoration of Adolph Hitler and Nazis is hardly a secret. His social media posts make it obvious that he is not shy about showing his face and name along with his disturbing convictions. After all, his username on the right-wing social network site Gab is “@ihatejews“:

Fuhrernet: a Place for Neo-Nazis

While Perry Maholland used to be the leader of a fourth-rate heavy metal band called Spirus,  he now spends his days as a web developer, as indicated by his public LinkedIn profile.

One of his current pet projects is a fledgling social network website that caters to neo-Nazis and admirers of Adolph Hitler called Fuhrernet, the logo of which bears a marked similarity to another well-known social network site.

The "Fuhrernet" logo. Look familiar?
The “Fuhrernet” logo. Look familiar?

As it is now, Fuhrernet (one of the contributors to its development, by the way, is Jewish neo-Nazi Diana Brancoveanu, aka “Pikachu,” whom we reported on earlier) is a barely functioning echo chamber where neo-Nazis post links to videos and memes consistently of an antisemitic and racist nature.

Fuhrernet post featuring a photo of Hitler and Nazi soldiers.
A post on Fuhrernet that is representative of the site’s basic content.

It does not appear, however, that Fuhrernet is actually catching on very well. Maholland’s own profile page shows that he joined in 2017 and, four years later, only has around sixty friends and followers, a paltry sum considering he is the creator of the site.

Because even Nazis can fall in love, one of Maholland’s Fuhrernet “Friends” is a woman who calls herself “Vera Castiel” and whom we believe to be living in Germany. Vera appears to be his girlfriend and they are in Nazi-love.

as an independent im working to address human rights that help with the healing our country so needs. i’ve been pushing an end of the race card, race-baiting black-white mentality because everybody loses under oppression. the challenge in having these conversations is that most don’t want to accept responsibility for our current societal oppressive mentalities of black and white. What im learning from these conversations is that people feel that they will lose a part of them by removing these labels. im pushing this healing platform as a way to unmask and unite as humans not as allies divide by color. if we are removing symbols of hate in our society then why not address the race card, race-baiting divide and conquer willie lynch labels of oppression.

Documented Nazi & Former Allentown Police Captain Michael P. Combs Now Police Chief in Minersville, Pennsylvania

from Community Research Opposing Hate

Three images of Michael Combs, Nazi Police Chief of the Minersville Police
Three images of former Allentown Police Captain & current Minersville Police Chief Michael Combs. He is a Nazi.

It recently came to CROH’s attention that the infamous Nazi Allentown Police Officer Michael P. Combs remains employed in the field of law enforcement.

Multiple reliable accounts of Combs’ dedication to white supremacist ideology throughout the 80’s and 90’s were published in a 1996 article in The Morning Call. And while a 1997 internal investigation verified several of these claims, the APD declined to terminate Combs, instead prompting him to attend “sensitivity training.” Combs remained employed by Allentown Police Department (APD) until his retirement in 2002. Despite Combs’ verified history of white supremacy, he was again hired in 2010 by the Borough of Minersville to serve as Police Chief.

In the following article, CROH will lay out the various credible allegations against Combs regarding his open support for Hitler, Nazism, and other white supremacist ideologies. We will also discuss APD’s 1997 Internal Affairs Investigation into Combs (aka, APD’s investigation of themselves). Lastly, we will cover Combs’ 2010 transition to Police Chief in the Borough of Minersville, a small community in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

Antifascist Mobilizations Shutdown Neo-Nazi Organized “White Lives Matter” Rallies Across the US

from It’s Going Down

[This post only contains information relevant to Philadelphia and the surrounding area, to read the entire article follow the above link.]

Antifascists and anti-racists across the so-called US organized mobilizations in the face of “White Lives Matter” rallies organized by white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and members of the Proud Boys. While many of the demonstrations were shut down before they even began by organizers afraid of antifascist online infiltration, online chats show that many potential rallies were also called off when fascists saw the size of the counter-demonstrations on the ground. In Huntington Beach, which has long been the site of far-Right, pro-Trump and in recent months, anti-mask/re-open demonstrations, the White Lives Matter protest was promoted by the Ku-Klux-Klan, who distributed flyers for it in various neighborhoods. While a Klan presence never materialized, various neo-Nazis and fascists did show themselves, along with Trump supporters who waved Trump and “All Lives Matter” flags. Clashes and fights in the streets quickly sent the racists packing, leading authorities to make multiple arrests and declare an unlawful assembly. Arrests also took place in Sacramento, as antifascists clashed with a small WLM group at the state capitol.

The failure of the “White Lives Matter” demonstrations shows that the racialist wing of the far-Right can still not mobilize on its own without massing its forces in one place like in Charlottesville and also networking with other adjacent movements, such as Trump supporters, the militias, or Qanon. It should also be noted that white nationalist and neo-Nazi groups like Patriot Front, the National Justice Party led by neo-Nazi podcasters and former Daily Stormer staffers, and the Groypers led by Nick Fuentes – all did not endorse the WLM actions, seeing them as poorly organized. In the end, the rallies where total disasters and optically were also complete failures in distancing white identity politics from Hitler saluting neo-Nazis. For groups like the Proud Boys who have spent years attempting to deny associations with racist groups, their involved will only help in tarnishing what’s left of their image.

Despite the success of the counter-mobilizations, both online and in the real world, it should be noted that the danger of the far-Right still hasn’t gone away. In Fresno, California for instance, several dozen Proud Boys rallied alongside Trump supporters and against progressive demonstrators attempting to stop the sale of a historical theater hall that is central to the LGBTQ and progressive community. The Proud Boys on the scene were made up of several chapters from different cities; showing that despite State repression, bad press, and continued opposition, the group is still able to mobilize its forces and intervene in wider currents alongside more mainstream Trump supporters. Also, members of the Nationalist Social Club (NSC) also rallied without opposition in Wakefield, Massachusetts, after according to local antifascists, “being chased out of Malden.”

It’s in these areas, often outside of larger cities where rallying several hundred can be done quite easily, that we need to work on building coalitions and relationships, not only between autonomous groups, crews, and organizations on a regional basis like our enemies are doing, but within broader communities in struggle and those who are targeted by the far-Right on a daily basis.

Check out our roundup below of all the action and support those facing repression in Sacramento, here and in Huntington Beach, here.

Heads ups for April 11

With a White Lives Matter march coming up April 11th (https://leftcoastrightwatch.org/2021/04/new-jersey-neonazis-plan-march-through-philly/) it might be useful for anti-fascists to familiarize themselves with local neo-Nazis and fascists who seem to be associated with the event. Much groundwork has already been laid for identifying members of the New Jersey European Heritage Association and their associates Keystone United/Keystone State Skinheads and Patriot Front. Although at the time of this writing NJEHA has attempted to distance themselves from the upcoming march (https://nitter.mastodont.cat/DLamontJenkins/status/1378399699967868930) there is no reason to believe that they are doing anything but trying to save face. The NJEHA has come to Philly before to harass anti-ICE protestors (http://idavox.com/index.php/2019/07/04/nj-boneheads-tried-to-cause-trouble-at-philly-i-c-e-protests/) and to put up fascists propaganda. KU/KSS have a much longer history of organizing fascist events, namely Leif Erikson Day, a celebration of colonization (https://phillyantifa.org/keystone-united-exposed-closing-thoughts/). Below are some links to information on known local fascists and far-right scum. The Proud Boys have not yet been associated with the White Lives Matter march but are included below in the event any that they attend unannounced.

Jackson Bradley NJEHA Nazi Behind “White Lives Matter Philadelphia”

from Twitter

In early January, Nazis skulked around NYC taking pics of themselves sieg heiling with a fascist flag. The Nazi in the grey & black coat is Jackson Bradley, a Philly member of the New Jersey European Heritage Association who goes by “Jesse Herring” on Telegram.
Jackson Browning Bradley was identified by antifascists in 2020 as a Philly member of the Nazi group, the New Jersey European Heritage Association. The NJEHA is connected to fascist groups like Patriot Front & has heavily targeted areas in Staten Island.
Jackson Bradley, in the same grey & black coat, was also seen flyering for the NJEHA with local NYC Nazi, Jovi Val, and a third man in Philadelphia in early January– across from Independence Hall and the National Museum of American Jewish History.
Jackson Bradley (as “Jesse Herring”) openly bragged about targeting the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philly in the Operation Flag Drop Telegram channel–which is run by a well-connected NYC MAGA grifter, Dion Cini, who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6th.

NEW JERSEY NEONAZIS PLAN MARCH THROUGH PHILLY

from Left Coast Right Watch

An April “White Lives Matter” rally planned to take place in Philadelphia is being organized primarily by members of the New Jersey European Heritage Association, or NJEHA. An SLPC-designated hate group, NJEHA was formed in 2018 and has a wide presence in the Northeast United States. The Telegram group “White Lives Matter Philadelphia” is operated by previously-identified NJEHA member Jackson Browning Bradley, a white supremacist and neo-Nazi with a long history of far-right activity in the Delaware Valley.

Plans for organized “White Lives Matter” rallies across the country were first disseminated via multiple white supremacist Telegram channels and were picked up by antifascist researchers in late March. Coordinated from the “White Lives Matter – 4/11” Telegram channel, networked channels for rallies in as many as fifty cities across the US and Europe have appeared in the last three weeks. Groups range from as few as two to as many as two hundred members, organizing as part of a nationwide “day of action” planned for Sunday, April 11. The Philadelphia channel has quickly grown to one of the largest in the network – at the time of this reporting, with over 100 subscribers. It’s also one of the most racist, routinely posting content so openly hateful that other users have suggested distancing themselves from the channel, even wondering if it could be a “false flag” planted in the network by federal operatives.

A Telegram message edited to remove identifiable information. Message reads: 'lol surely this room is an op. I mean mate, this is supposed to be a way to onboard normies and they are posting GLR and the turner diaries? Idk maybe they’re just edge lords but it seems like they are trying too hard.'
A Telegram message in “White Lives Matter – 4/11” referencing the Philadelphia page theorizes that the group may be an “op”.

In fact, the “White Lives Matter Philadelphia” channel is confirmed to be operated by members of the New Jersey European Heritage Association, a white supremacist group operating out of southern New Jersey. NJEHA has a small following but was responsible for a majority of white supremacist propaganda in New Jersey in 2019. The channel is operated by NJEHA member Jackson Browning Bradley, a Philadelphia resident with a long history of far-right organizing. An NJEHA member since its formation in 2018, Bradley is a vicious anti-Semite and adherent of American neo-Nazi George Lincoln Rockwell (“GLR”). Bradley served as the infiltration point for a large disclosure of information about the hate group by antifascist researchers in 2019, which identified the group’s leader and the extent of their activities across the mid-Atlantic. Bradley was identified with NJEHA on multiple occasions, including an event at Princeton University in 2019 that featured neo-Nazi and Holocaust denier Patrick Little. Bradley was also caught on camera in 2021 posting white supremacist propaganda around the National Museum of Jewish-American History in Philadelphia with members of NJEHA. On video, Bradley gives a Nazi salute and can be heard saying “Heil Hitler, by the way” as he is chased from the scene by bystanders.

The “White Lives Matter Philadelphia” channel is one of the most openly racist of the WLM-4/11 network, routinely espousing violent and genocidal anti-Semitic rhetoric. Posts shared from known NJEHA channels spread literal Nazi propaganda and call for violence against non-white ethnic groups.

“The end of World Jewry…this new war will be more decisive then[sic] the last one,” one post shared from an NJEHA-operated page states. “We shall end the Jewish Control over our society along with the White Traitors who worked with them to destroy our Race”.

A swastika symbol posted in the “White Lives Matter Philadelphia” channel accompanied by the words “SYMBOL OF WHITE POWER”.

Bradley’s distinctive writing style can be identified from his active Facebook page, where he routinely crossposts black-and-white photos of segregated Philadelphia from his Telegram pages. Bradley also operates in the central “White Lives Matter – 4/11” organizing channel under a known alias, where he posts links to the official NJEHA Telegram page. He also claims in conversations to have organized marches with Patrick Little, further solidifying proof of ties between NJEHA and the Philadelphia rally.

A Telegram post edited to remove identifiable information, posted by a known alias of Bradley: 'I hope your\[sic\] careful though these Jews will try to tear this apart so it must be important to have our leading people to have discipline and order when we’re\[sic\] are doing this and have your faces covered! I did White Lives Matter Marches for Patrick Little so I know what I’m talking about!'
In the “White Lives Matter – 4/11” chat, Bradley confirms his participation in 2019 “It’s Okay to Be White” rally organized by neo-Nazi Patrick Little.

The planned march will gather in Philadelphia on April 11 in conjunction with other “White Lives Matter” marches planned across the country. Bradley claims that the group will rally in Center City before marching to Northeast Philadelphia and/or South Philadelphia. Other identified participants include members of the Philadelphia Proud Boys and the Patriot Party of PA, as well as other members of NJEHA. All named groups should be expected to be in attendance. Fliers for the national movement claim rallies will begin at 1pm, but a specific time for the Philadelphia rally has not yet been confirmed.

A Telegram post posted by “White Lives Matter Philadelphia”: 'This Rally is going to be in Center City to South Philly and Northeast Philly! To Rally our people in our White Neighborhoods to entice them to join our March! The Whites here have had enough of the Jews and the Anti-White System displacing them and using Antifa to intimidate our people!'
A post from “White Lives Matter Philadelphia” claims that the planned 4/11 rally will gather in Center City and travel to “South Philly and Northeast Philly!”

Report from march in solidarity against anti-AAPI racism

Submission

On the night of 3/27, about a dozen people responded to a call to march against anti-Asian racism and white supremacy. After a brief discussion about intentions, the bloc marched about 10 blocks, without a police tail, through pedestrian streets that have been overtaken by outdoor dining, chanting slogans against racism, the police, and white supremacy. This disrupted what would otherwise have been a lovely evening for Philly’s yuppies, before dispersing without incident. Some of these chants included “A-C-A-B, FUCK/END WHITE SUPREMACY!”, “COPS & KLAN GO HAND IN HAND!”,” WHEN ASIAN/IMMIGRANT/BLACK LIVES ARE UNDER ATTACK, WHAT DO WE DO, STAND UP FIGHT BACK!”, “A-ANTI-ANTICAPITALISTA!”, some feral screaming into the night, etc.

The march was a really fun night out! Spirits were high, the chanting was strong and heartfelt. The bloc was playful and even had an impromptu dance to some street musicians playing Vanessa Carlton’s “1000 Miles”. The route choice of pedestrian streets meant that the march could be loud and visible with a low risk of encountering the police. Communication between marchers felt easy and people were able to make decisions together.

Here are some things to think about for future actions. Considering nearby cameras and visibility from the street and sidewalk when choosing a meet up location can help increase anonymity and the chance of a smooth start. The messaging on the banner was confusing — it said that no one has to die for people to fight racism, which is true, but racism does kills everyday.

This action was successful in being highly visible, spreading a message against white supremacy, avoiding arrests and a police tail. The route was clever in that it went through streets already closed to car traffic. This kind of relatively low stress action builds confidence, as well as experience moving & deciding together in the street. It also felt like a good first outing of the spring, and a way to show that actions can be fun, playful, and confrontational all at the same time.

Student Group Draws Attention to Bigoted Social Media Posts Made By Kutztown University Police Officer Alan Swartz

from Community Research Opposing HatePictures of Swartz.Alan Swartz, a Bigot in Kutztown University’s Police Department

On February 3rd 2021, a student group called Kutztown University Activists (KUA) released a trove of racist, Islamophobic, transphobic, and conspiracy-driven public Facebook posts by Kutztown University Police Officer Alan Swartz. The content was shared to KUA’s Instagram account along with a petition and call for accountability in response to Swartz’s clear prejudice and bias. The student demands included not only the removal of Officer Swartz from KU’s Police Department, but also the creation of an accountability board comprised of students, faculty, and staff; a board with the power to discipline university police who engage in wrongdoing or display overt bias. Swartz has been with the department since 2012.

On February 3rd, Swartz’s Facebook page was public for anyone to see. The posted content included images supporting Kyle Rittenhouse, a teenager who crossed state lines with an illegally acquired rifle, murdered two racial justice activists, and critically injured a third at a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, WI. This post referred to Black Lives Matter activists with racially charged language. A second post featured a Confederate flag, with derogatory language painting those who understand the white supremacist roots of the flag as ignorant of history. This line of neo-confederate thinking is rampant among far-right bigots. It stems from the racist historical revisionism of “lost cause” ideology perpetuated by the Daughters of the Confederacy and other neo-confederate groups after the Civil War. Another post is riddled with content demeaning transgender individuals, immigrants, and abortion rights.

Screenshots of QAnon, Confederate, and far right militia propaganda shared by Swartz

Alan Swartz also posted Islamophobic content to his Facebook page, including memes claiming Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib — Muslim women of color and democratically elected members of Congress — are ISIS sleeper agents. Conspiracy theories falsely defaming progressive Muslim women such as Omar and Tlaib are common refrains among the xenophobic far-right in the so-called United States.

Screenshots of Islamophobic memes shared by Swartz

Additionally, Swartz’s posts displayed his belief in a false conspiracy peddled by the fascist MAGA and Patriot movements; namely, that the coup attempt these groups carried out at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021 was a false flag operation. Any analysis of the individuals charged for their role in the coup attempt reveals that nearly every person who breached the Capitol were supporters of the former President who believed they were acting on his explicit orders. And reporting by major publications and independent journalists alike has proven that the attacks on the building were planned and orchestrated by far-right individuals and organizations such as The Proud Boys.

Swartz's shares and posts in support of the January 6th coup.
Disclaimer: The above is a screenshot of KUA’s Instagram post. CROH recommends against the use of anti-terror rhetoric in reporting of the January 6th event. We have previously referred to the event as a riot and an attempted coup, with the latter being more accurate given the involvement of many law enforcement and military personnel, both active and retired.
