As always, we have a lot to cover in this column, especially some exciting action reports and important calls for solidarity with antifascists in trouble. With lots to talk about, let’s dive right in!
Area residents and allies helped in identifying a local business owner as the person caught stickering White Lives Matter propaganda in this municipality’s multi-ethnic downtown a month ago.
The neighborhood organization UDTJ reported on its social media accounts that they were able to identify David Miller who has a business, Upper Darby Auto Detailing at 25 Powell Lane, roughly a 5 – 10 minute walk from where he was caught and filmed propagandizing on the opposite side of the street from the 69th Street Transportation Center.
SCI Rockview is a prison in central Pennsylvania where incarcerated comrades have been facing repression for demanding justice in the face of impunity by racist COs and following a year of prisoner deaths due to institutional toxicity and guard violence. We speak to an outside supporter about the situation at Rockview, the reactions of administration, inside / outside relationships and solidarity that have flared up. We hope that this conversation contributes to increased and thickened ties between folks on both sides of the walls.

Jorge “Yorch” Esquivel
Jorge has now been held in prison for over a year without a trial, and urgently needs funds to cover legal fees and prison costs (food, water, phone calls, visits, administration fees, service costs, etc).
Jorge “Yorch” Esquivel is a beloved compañero of the punk community, and a long-time participant of the Okupa Che. He was arrested on December 8, 2022 by plainclothes police as he was leaving the campus of the Ciudad Universitaria (of the UNAM university) in Mexico City as part of a campaign of criminalization against the Okupa or squat.
BACKGROUND
On February 24, 2016, an operative was carried out in which plainclothes policemen detained him, “planting” drugs on him in order to fabricate crimes, and accusing him of drug trafficking, as part of a campaign of repression on the squatted auditorium Okupa Che in UNAM (still existing). The whole case was plagued with irregularities. He was transferred to Oaxaca and then to a maximum-security prison in Hermosillo as a strategy to hinder his legal defense by taking him far away from his support networks. Thanks to the solidarity and legal work, he was reclassified from the crime of drug dealing to simple possession of narcotics, and was released on bail in March 2016.
Even though he was no longer in prison, he was not out of danger. Constant threats and journalistic reports did not cease; the press even reported his death and accused him of participating in organized crime. Meanwhile, steps were being taken to frame him once again and re-arrest him for the same fabricated crime.
On December 8, 2022 he was arrested in exactly the same place – a few steps outside Ciudad Universitaria, where the Okupa is located, once again by plainclothes police – with the grounds for this illegal
detention being that the Attorney General’s Office appealed the decision to reclassify the crime.
The compañero’s health is fragile due to an extended hospitalization a couple years back and the toll the prison conditions have taken on him.
CURRENT SITUATION
Jorge is currently incarcerated in the Reclusorio Oriente prison in Mexico City. The legal process is still in the evidence stage. Several hearings have been postponed and Jorge’s process is being delayed and prolonged to keep him in what is called “preventative imprisonment” with no sentence, which is common for cases of political prisoners in Mexico.
Despite the fact that there is no evidence to keep him in prison, the strategy of the State is clearly to drag it out as long as possible, which is a tortuous level of uncertainty for all of us close to Jorge.
Thanks to the solidarity of individuals, collectives and networks, it has been possible to cover Jorge’s expenses inside the prison, which have been very high due to the corruption that reigns in Mexican prisons. We are raising funds to support his legal costs and basic needs to be able to survive in this unjust incarceration, and to re-join the community on the outside as soon as possible. We call upon the solidarity of our friends and compañerxs around the world to help us in supporting our compañero Yorch.

Benner Township, PA.- On November 24th, 2023, imprisoned people at SCI Rockview found two nooses hanging in the CO’s office, displayed visibly for many prisoners to see. When the prisoners asked the staff why the nooses were hung, they were told it was a joke. By December 4th, prisoners filed a grievance to document what they saw, noting that the hanging of the nooses was “unethical, racially motivated, hateful, [a] deliberate debasement of black inmates” and “unsafe for inmates, staff, [and] the whole prison in general.” In the grievance, they demanded that Sgt. Mosser and CO Richard be fired and investigated for a hate crime, and for CO Kirchner to get therapy. Captain Andrews, the head of security, denied the grievance over two months later by February 5, 2024 under the guise that it was “being investigated.” However, the sergeant and COs are still working in the prison to this day, with no repercussions for this racist act.
As of March 10th, prisoners have reached out to Pennsylvania officials at the Dept. of Corrections in a letter campaign, sending 100 copies of the grievance. Copies of the letter also were mailed to Governor Shapiro, Senator Fetterman, Senator Street, and various advocacy groups. The demands for relief in the original grievance have now become the platform of demands for this campaign. About 20 of the 100 letters were withheld by the prison. Activists on the outside are joining forces with prisoners to elevate their demands, flooding the phone lines of DOC offices, assisting with outreach to media, and circulating the stories of prisoners who have found unity in opposition to the facility’s virulent institutional racism.
In any other workplace, hanging a noose would be grounds for immediate termination. However, Nicki Paul, the superintendent’s assistant and “grievance coordinator” informed the public that they self-investigated their staff and found they did nothing wrong. When family and friends of prisoners in the facility called en mass between March 18th and 25th to voice their concern, Paul was flippant, dishonest, and dismissive to nearly every caller. Several family members of prisoners felt incredibly disrespected by the behavior of Paul and other staff who answered their calls. In the process of calling in, it also became known that Paul holds several other titles within the prison, including “staff officer,” “lieutenant’s assistant,” and “community liaison.” Samuel Condo, a PA-DOC official responsible for overseeing SCI Rockview, was called over a dozen of times to no avail. When contact was finally made with Condo, he simply would redirect calls back to Nicki Paul whose multiple roles on the prison staff create severe conflicts of interest.
Paul admits that SCI Rockview does indeed have video footage, yet the reasons why they refuse to make this footage public has not been given any reasonable justification. As of the week of March 18th, SCI Rockview has closed the internal investigation, choosing to protect the guards who did this hateful and racist act over the safety and well-being of the prisoners. In the meantime, the administration removed two prisoners from general population who brought the situation to public light. One was transferred out of the prison, and the other one is still in administrative custody, aka “the hole” under accusations of “encouraging group activity.”
This incident is coming after a year that saw 11 prisoners die in custody. Seven people died amidst an outbreak of legionnaires disease, and four people died while in administrative custody (punitive solitary units with very little public oversight and severely limited communication access). Unfortunately, there is a well-known pattern of premature death and racist discriminatory practices (including beatings and verbal harassment) at SCI Rockview.
There is a resistance campaign that has emerged from the persistent actions of prisoners and outside supporters, who together are demanding an external investigation of the facility & its staff for the cover-up of hanging the nooses. The severity of retaliation for speaking out must also be considered a central object of investigation. We believe the inaction of officials at this facility is symptomatic of a deeper condition of antiBlackness, white supremacy, and class warfare that PA-DOC legally sanctions and politically condones. On both sides of the wall, people most impacted by the racism of SCI Rockview continue to uplift the demands of prisoners to investigate the noose incident as a hate crime, to terminate Sgt. Mosser and CO Richard, and to require mandatory therapy for CO Kirchner. While a grassroots campaign is indeed growing, and as PA-DOC slides further into dissonant inaction, the call for popular resistance to SCI Rockview’s lethal conditions rings louder by the day.
Trigger warning: Mentions racist violence by guards at SCI Rockview

In November 2023, a group of guards hung two nooses in the office (bubble) at SCI Rockview – a location visible to roughly a hundred prisoners. Prisoners who witnessed the nooses have been outraged by this disturbing racist act, and have since demanded that these guards face consequences. In January we launched a two week phone zap campaign that forced PA-DOC main offices to contact the warden. While many Black prisoners remain tormented by this racist act, the guards responsible have enjoyed impunity, with officials in the facility even making attempts to silence anyone on the inside who speaks out. One captive comrade was actually transferred out of state because of their agitation around this issue, while another captive comrade’s grievances have been outright rejected by the administration.
We have little reason to believe an internal investigation will achieve what the prisoners have been demanding, which includes the following:
Investigate the hanging of nooses as a “hate crime” and take their impact seriously
Terminate Sgt. Mosser and c/o Richards
Mandatory therapy for c/o Kirchner
SCI Rockview has seen 11 deaths (that we know of) in 2023 and a severe pattern of racist discriminatory practices. Please join us in calling PA-DOC offices and officials, to further expose this incident and amplify the demands of our captive comrades.
Script for Calling
I am calling on behalf of a community of people who are distressed by a recent incident of antiBlack harassment by a group of CO’s at SCI Rockview, who have faced no consequences for their racist actions. On 11/24/23, prisoners at SCI Rockview found two nooses made from extension cords hung by guards in the office (bubble). Two internal grievances have been submitted by prisoners who witnessed the incident, and prison officials have rejected both. We would like to make you aware that the facility admin has rejected both internal grievances, submitted by prisoners through the proper channels. The guards have faced no consequences. We have little reason to believe an internal investigation will achieve what the prisoners have been demanding, which includes the following:
Investigate the hanging of nooses as a “hate crime” and take its impact seriously
Terminate Sgt. Mosser and c/o Richards
Mandatory therapy for c/o Kirchner
The hanging of two nooses is understood by many people imprisoned at SCI Rockview to be a hostile act and deeply offensive. Some are disclosing how these acts are part of a larger pattern of discriminatory practices used by correctional officers at this specific facility. If this was any other workplace, the act of hanging nooses would lead to severe consequences. The admin at SCi Rockview have not only displayed indifference to the racist act, but some even have made efforts to silence prisoners in distress by the incident. We urge PA-DOC officials to recognize the significance of the prisoner demands, which are derived from the exhausted grievances.

Re: Correctional Officers Hang Nooses and SCI Rockview Does Nothing
Bellefonte, Pa. – On November 24, 2023, prisoners at SCI Rockview found two nooses hanging in the CO’s office, displayed visibly for prisoners to see. When the prisoners asked the staff why the nooses were hanging there, they were told it was a joke. In the grievance, they demanded that Sgt. Mosser and CO Richards be fired and investigated for a hate crime, and for CO Kirchner to get therapy. Cap- tain Andrews, the head of security, denied the grievance over two months later by February 5, 2024 under the guise that it was “being investigated”. However, the sergeant and Cos are still working in the prison to this day, with no repercussions except getting moved to another block.

In any other workplace, hanging a noose would be grounds for immediate termination. However, the staff and administration at SCI Rockview continue to dodge public accountability. In fact, the prison has a history of fostering systemic racism, like in 2013 when admin blocked a Muslim prisoner from wearing religious garb. Kerry X. Marshall, then incarcerated at SCI Rockview, sued and six years later the courts determined that the prison had violated his religious freedom.
This incident is coming at a time when in 2023, 11 prisoners died in custody. Seven people died amid an outbreak of legionnaires disease, and four people died while in the RHU (punitive solitary units with very little public oversight). Unfortunately, there is a well-known pattern of premature death at SCI Rockview. Most well known is an incident in 2012, when COs killed the prisoner John Carter during a “cell extraction” while he was in the RHU, in what other prisoners described as “turning his cell into a gas chamber” using ‘non-lethal’ weapon OC pepper spray. Carter’s family never received justice for what the prison did to him, and PA DOC never acknowledged or reprimanded the guards who killed him.
In short, prisoner demands to investigate the hanging of nooses as a hate crime, terminate Sgt. Mosser and CO Richards, and mandatory therapy for CO Kirchner, need be taken seriously.

[Recently, our organization and community have noticed a significant rise in the vandalizing of people’s property in downtown Upper Darby with hateful racist and anti semitic stickers. U.D.T.J. unequivocally condemns these disgusting acts, and our community will never be silent against such cowardly acts of hate.
It has also come to our attention recently that the individual caught putting up the stickers was caught on camera and has been identified as the owner and operator, David Miller, of “That Guy In The Kilt Auto Detailing” (Upper Darby Auto Detailing) located at 25 Powell Ln, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, 19082. We are making this known publicly to ensure consumers in our community can make educated and informed decisions.
This individual has been caught vandalizing property with their hateful propaganda twice now, and we strongly condemn such ignorance and hate. We also call on authorities to address these acts promptly, and we urge everyone to stand against such intolerance. Together, we must work towards a more inclusive and respectful society where diversity is celebrated, and hatred is not tolerated.
The rise in anti-Semitism, islamophobia, transphobia, homophobia, and racism across this country will only be ended with a rising tide of vocal condemnation and accountability. Formerly named That Guy in the Kilt Detailing, Upper Darby Auto Detailing Google Maps business listing and YouTube video have yielded some details. For one, the business is identified as gay-owned. Also, as noted in a Better Business Bureau accredited data broker report that cites court records, Miller has tattoos on his right arm that can reportedly be seen in a video and images that were posted online. Miller is listed as 6’3″ in the referenced data broker report and is 39 years old. His weight is at least 180 pounds and his body build is slim. He has reddish to sandy brown hair and currently sports a moustache. The red jacket that he wore while WLM propagandizing is extremely notable because the jacket’s chest crest denotes — “Maserati” — the Italian ultra luxury car maker.
Antifascists have positively identified 54 year old Evan Wendell Plumlee of Feasterville-Trevose (Bucks County), PA as a neo-nazi, unidentified J6 rioter “insider #140”, and leader of White Lives Matter (WLM) PA.

Plumlee is also a member of NJEHA and an associate of S14 and the Atlantic Nationalist Club, among other local nazi crews. Plumlee has long-standing connections both in-person and online to the far right scene in the tri-state (NY, NJ, PA) area. Over the past few years he has been occupying himself with joint actions between NJEHA, WLM PA, WLM NJ, Embrace Struggle AC, S14, and Atlantic Nationalist Club, while running the WLM PA Telegram channel with, the recently deceased, Jackson Bradley.

Plumlee first came to the attention of antifascists through a routine check of active fascist accounts in the tri-state area. A Telegram and Gab account by the handle AndailChanter was flagged due to its activity. After running some basic checks it was discovered that the account name, AndailChanter, was not unique to Telegram and Gab but existed across several other platforms, some of which were connected directly to Evan Plumlee.
One of Plumlee’s accounts, in this case bitbucket, was attached to his AndailChanter username.
Plumlee made an amateur mistake by linking his legal name to his online neo-nazi persona, which is reminiscent of other S14 member blunders such as Mark Kauffman, Sara Sheaffer, Jackson Bradley, Mathew Bair, Erin Gurel, Paul Minton, and Daisy McGowen. Additionally, Plumlee confirmed on his Telegram account that he lived in Bucks County, PA, further removing any plausible deniability over his identity.
With Plumlee positively identified, antifascists were able to trace his in-person and online activity and connect him to the earlier referenced local groups. Over the past few years Plumlee has forged a strong connection with NJEHA leader Dan D’ambly, S14 leadership, and has regularly attended actions in NJ, PA, and NY.

Plumlee has also maintained WLM PA’s online presence, using in-person actions to bolster their content to try and recruit new membership.
These two pictures from the S14 chat are referencing a 2023 rally that Plumlee attended. He specifically grabbed footage from that day’s event for WLM PA’s 2023 Day of Action, which is a part of a larger nationwide push by WLM National where individual chapters are encouraged to do simultaneous racist actions.
Outside of his regular online and physical presence in the tri-state area neo-nazi scene, Plumlee is active in moderate right-wing politics on a national level, having connections to more palatable pro-Trump groups. Of note, his involvement in these circles and his connections to other neo-nazis enabled him to join a caravan to Washington D.C. in 2021 for the January 6 Trump rally that devolved into a violent convergence and occupation of the U.S. Capitol Building.

Plumlee and others are at one point confronted by a Capitol police officer while inside the building.
At the time of publishing, while over 1,000 people have been identified and faced criminal sentencing for their involvement in the January 6 riots, hundreds of people have not, including Plumlee. It is time to expose Plumlee for his actions on J6 and membership in neo-nazi organizations.
A note from NJ Hate Watch: this is not done in cooperation with the state, any of its agents, or those who cooperate with the state on any level. If Plumlee finds himself on the other end of a state investigation it is because of his own stupidity and arrogance. Any past, present, or future charges/state repression levied against those who participated in the J6 riots is a poor attempt by the state to show that it is against fascism. The U.S. state is by far the largest purveyor of fascism, and stands to benefit from sacrificial arrests and prison terms of J6 defendants.
It has been confirmed that Jackson Bradley, who was exposed as a S14 member in October 2023, has died at the age of 25 of septic shock. Bradley had been prolific in his online career as a neo nazi, and was revealed to have an extensive network to local neo nazi crews around the United States, like NSC 131, and was behind the White Lives Matter PA Telegram channel, the White Pill Cafe 2.0 Telegram channel, and a number of other national socialist Telegram content. Among his in-person neo nazi activities, Bradley was a member of NJEHA and S14, in addition to other crews like Embrace Struggle Active Club.

One of Bradley’s friends, a fellow (unidentified) S14 member who goes by the handle booboo kittyfck, reported the news of his death to S14 this week. Booboo kittyfck appeared destroyed, as she had worked closely with him for years, helping run the White Pill Cafe 2.0 Telegram channel and other virtual projects.
Reportedly, booboo kittyfck was in touch with Bradley’s family and received confirmation from them that Bradley had died. She also confirmed that she talked to Bradley on the phone on Christmas day.
A few different neo nazi organizations put out memorial statements for Bradley and not only verified that he went by the Telegram handle Robert Mathews, something that antifascists exposed in October 2023, but that he worked on other projects such as the New Dawn of White Action. Looking at the reactions that booboo kittyfck and others had over his passing, one would think Bradley was the epitome of national socialist ideals, intelligence, and masculinity.
The hilarious truth here is that couldn’t be further from the truth. Bradley’s death was his own doing and completely avoidable.
Mark Kauffman also confirms that Bradley was on the ground for the December 16 Jackson, NJ action that NJEHA and S14 held.
Bradley was reportedly not feeling well for over a week prior and talked to booboo kittyfck about it when they spoke on Christmas day. She tried to get him to go to the emergency room that day, but Bradley did not listen.
Bradley’s stubbornness was so bad that he needlessly suffered for days on end as his infection got worse. At this time its not clear what kind of original infection Bradley had, but given how sepsis commonly forms he likely had an easy to treat lung or urinary tract infection that evolved over time, going into his bloodstream. This means that Bradley actively ignored his primary infection and did not receive initial treatment.
Additionally, if an infection progresses into sepsis and is caught early, the survival rate is around 80%. If the infection is allowed to get worse and develops into septic shock, the survival rate is only 20%. In plain terms, if Bradley had listened to his fellow S14 members and went to the hospital, he likely would still be alive.
Bradley was also upper middle class and his mom helped support him financially, so it’s not like he couldn’t have afforded medical care either. Bradley had every option possible to him to receive treatment, but refused, due to his own arrogance. In the end Bradley killed himself with his own poor decision making, and likely endured a very painful death, when he succumbed to septic shock.
Bradley’s death is both ridiculous and from his own hand. Rest in Piss.
The actual Neo Nazi that was documented and pictured is Wisconsin native Jesse Herring. As Bradley retreated from public view he probably thought he got lucky for being misidentified for Herring. The irony here though is that Bradley and Herring know each other and run in the same circles of fascists.

Since he was misidentified as Herring in 2021, not much new information has been publicly documented on Bradley. While Bradley clearly took his operational security more seriously than other identified S14 members, like Mark Kauffman and Mathew Bair, he ultimately failed to obfuscate himself too.
Bradley fell back into apps like Telegram and Gab and began to make more in-person Tristate (NJ, PA, NY) area connections. Bradley made a number of shell profiles on Telegram in an effort to prevent potential identification. Unfortunately for Bradley, he failed to fundamentally change anything about his posts, communication style, and how his profile was constructed. So while Bradley would bounce from profile to profile, antifascists were able to keep a thread on him due to these identified factors.

One of Bradley’s more utilized profiles on Telegram is his “Robert Matthews” account which was created in 2022.
Antifascists were also able to put together a bigger picture to Bradley’s background and history as a fascist and white nationalist. According to Bradley, and verified by antifascists, he is a lifelong Philadelphia resident who has deep family ties to the city. Bradley currently lives on Elfreth’s Alley in Philadelphia with his family.
Bradley has an interest in Philadelphia “white history” and is very attached to historically white neighborhoods in the city. Bradley often rambles about “diversity” and how non-white, Jewish, and LGBTQ+ Philadelphia residents are ruining the city. He also frequently talks about how Philadelphia and south western PA should be reclaimed for white people .

Bradley has been a white nationalist for over seven years, meaning he became one while in high school as a young teenager. Bradley attended Hill Top Preparatory School during his middle and high school years, eventually graduating in 2017. He then attended Cabrini University in PA and graduated with a BA in History in 2022. Prior to and since graduating college Bradley has worked several different jobs including seasonal work and manual labor.
As of 2023 Bradley is 25 years old, meaning he became a white nationalist/fascist when he was 17/18 years old.
Hill Top Prep is an expensive private school that specifically serves students who have unique educational needs, like autism and ADHD, that often do not have the same resources as those who attend public schools. Similarly, Cabrini University is an expensive small private Catholic university, with a large endowment. After graduating from college Bradley does not appear to have used his degree to obtain employment, instead choosing to work seasonal jobs and other positions that he is “overqualified” for. Given all this information on Bradley, it’s clear he comes from wealth and has family money/resources that he relies on.

During 2022 when he was finishing up college, Bradley connected with Mark Kauffman and Stephen Quest’s burgeoning group, the now rebranded National Socialist Youth Alliance (NSYA). Bradley in fact became one of the first on-the-ground Tristate members of the NSYA and attended their premiere rally in January 2023 in Hamilton, NJ.

When the NSYA eventually split from Stephen Quest’s leadership Bradley followed Kauffman over to his newly formed offshoot organization, S14. Since S14’s launch, Bradley has made himself useful to the group providing design work and other computer based support. He helps to put out the groups propaganda and report backs from their pop-up rallies. Because of this, Bradley has been present at most of S14 and NJEHA’s events. Notably, Bradley likes to wear the same/similar gear to each of these rallies to try and conceal his identity, almost always wearing an American flag face covering.

Bradley has also revealed that he is quite prolific in his online connections and relationships with other Neo nazi groups in the US, including NSC 131, well known white supremacists, and several different “Active Clubs” including chapters in Las Vegas and PA.
Bradley low key bragging about creating some logo materials for NSC 131 and that he personally knows on of their leaders.

Overall Bradley is quite prolific and has many different tendrils to other white nationalists and fascists across the US. Bradley has been able to be so active and bold in his day to day life because he has family resources (money) to fall back on and has weathered previous “attacks” from antifascists. Any guise of safety is now over.
S14 members: With addition of Jackson Bradley, six of your people have officially been identified and doxxed including Paul Minton, Daisy McGowan, Mathew Bair, Mark Kauffman, and Sara Sheaffer. If you continue to operate, more of your members will be exposed and the pressure will increase. You will be held accountable for the nazi filth that you are.
Regional antifascists have been exposing the identities of local neo-nazi crew S14, for the last several months. So far five of their members have been unmasked and there has been an on the ground push to confront S14. Specifically antifascists have targeted leaders Kauffman and Sheaffer’s in North Philly, where they live. This left Kauffman visibly shaken and resigned to bitching in the S14 public telegram account, in the days after it was reported to Jersey Counter-Info.

Kauffman’s frustration and fear however are only getting worse, as antifascists have started an indefinite ongoing campaign against he and Sheaffer in North Philly. As of mid September, antifascists have hit Kauffman and Sheaffer’s neighborhood at least three separate times talking to community residents, business owners, neighbors, and distributing community alert fliers.

As time passes, more and more residents are becoming aware of Kauffman and Sheaffer’s presence in the neighborhood and their status as neo-nazis.
Community members have also been given extra fliers on several occasions to distribute and post up on their own.
Fliers have been strategically placed near high traffic areas like bus stops and cross walks to maximize reach and visibility.
Antifascists have also been heavily focusing on the block of E Wishart that Kauffman and Sheaffer live on, connecting in person with their neighbors.

At this point Kauffman and Sheaffer may still believe that if they do damage control and keep to themselves they can quietly live their lives. The reality of situation couldn’t be further from this. With each passing day more and more community members are becoming aware that neo-nazis are living among them and the targets on Kauffman and Sheaffer’s backs are only getting bigger.
Rygaard was confronted and it was discovered that he was temporarily staying in a neighboring town. Rygaard tried to play dumb and deny that he was a nazi but was quickly shut down and forced to leave town.
Community members were able to grab pictures of his car prior to him being booted from Asheville.

It was also discovered that Rygaard has a Cash App account, further proving his enduring nazi ties.
Last year, we asked antifascists in the U.S. to act for us in commemorating our slain sister Jennifer Laude, killed by an American soldier. While there was some commemoration and remembrance of Jennifer Laude, this was done after her death anniversary on October 11 because the initial open letter calling for the commemoration initially fell on deaf ears. Earlier, Filipino/a/x autonomists, anarchists, and abolitionists in the so-called Philippines and its diasporas wrote an open letter asking US anti-fascists to resist the return of the murderer of Jennifer Laude to the United States, but his return was not resisted, and we received no report of any action protesting his return.
Let us review the facts for our comrades in Turtle Island:
Joseph Scott Pemberton committed a heinous hate crime by brutally murdering Jennifer Laude on October 11, 2014. Jennifer was murdered precisely because she was transgender, with Pemberton’s legal team even trying the so-called “trans panic” defense as a justification for her murder. The Philippine state appears to have sided with Pemberton’s excuse that Jennifer’s identity was a provocation in itself, inducing Pemberton to kill her. This defense frames Pemberton as the victim and sets a dangerous precedent for trans women in the archipelago and beyond.
Jennifer Laude is fondly remembered as a beautiful person who was confident in her identity and sexuality. She was well-loved by her family and friends and her nickname was “Ganda” meaning “beautiful.” However, Pemberton did not care for Jennifer Laude as a human being. He was unrepentant at his trial, even going so far as to dehumanize Jennifer Laude by referring to her as “it.”
Pemberton’s case was discussed again when the Philippine government considered him for an early release due to “good conduct” in early September, a charge that the Laude family questioned on the grounds that Pemberton could not have proved good behavior. Indeed, how could Pemberton have proven his “good conduct” if he had not interacted with any prisoner in his specially-designed cell?
The point is now moot, as Pemberton has received an absolute pardon from then-president Rodrigo Duterte. He can now walk free, absolved of any criminal liability. We have no doubt that the government of the United States has had a hand in Duterte’s granting of absolute pardon unto Pemberton.
As anti-fascists, we know all too well how the state employs a double standard in its policing between the privileged and the dispossessed. Pemberton’s whiteness protected him from facing any meaningful consequences, just as whiteness protected countless murderers in the so-called United States. His case has been rife with special treatment from the beginning, and his pardon from Duterte only confirms that. This murderer has known nothing but lenience and special treatment in his trial and during his imprisonment. He was detained separately during his trial and was the only occupant of a Camp Aguinaldo detainment facility that was specially constructed for him after his conviction. As the pandemic ripped through overcrowded prisons, the state in the Philippines dragged its feet on releasing non-violent offenders and condemned countless prisoners to a slow death by COVID-19. Yet the white man, the U.S. national, the violent offender, and a prisoner at no risk of contracting COVID-19 was the one prioritized for release. Upon his return to the so-called United States, the U.S. government went on record stating that the murderer would not face court-martial in the country.
The reason Pemberton’s whiteness protected him was due to the imperialized position of the Philippines in the U.S. empire. Since the U.S. invasion of the so-called Philippines in 1898, U.S. troops have enjoyed free rein in the archipelago. Pemberton was in the Philippines due to Balikatan, annual military exercises between U.S. and Philippine armed forces — a recurring program established following the ratification of the 1999 Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA).
The VFA is a reminder of the neocolonial presence of the United States in the Philippines. It allows for the presence of U.S. military personnel, aircraft, and vessels in the Philippines. It also complicates the custodial process for U.S. troops accused of committing crimes while in the archipelago. Though the Duterte administration moved to suspend the agreement earlier this year, Duterte reneged 3 months before pardoning Pemberton. Now, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. revived the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) and its VFA, promising to use the Philippines as a base for American imperialist interests in Asia.
Militarization of the archipelago by U.S. troops has been correlated time and again with violence and sexual assault against women and sex workers. The violence that occurs at the intersections of racism, sexism, fetishization, and dehumanization is compounded for trans women who experience violence simply for being trans.
We anti-fascists already know that there is no justice to be had from the state, whether Philippine or American. This transphobic murderer continues to walk free as far as the states in the Philippines and the United States are concerned, so we reiterate our call to anti-fascists in the so-called United States to act.
While U.S. anti-fascists acted valiantly in response to the killing of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and stepped up and defended communities where the state willfully failed, we have heard very little to suggest that Filipino/a/x trans lives matter in response to the return of the murderer to his country.
It has been nine years since the murderer took Ganda away from her family. There is still time to make up for this injustice.
We are writing this letter to ask antifascists and radicals of all strips on Turtle Island to act where we Filipinos could not. When the Spanish colonial government suppressed our people and murdered José Rizal, the anarchist Michele Angiolillo assassinated the Spanish Prime Minister Antonio Cánovas del Castillo. When US President William McKinley conquered the Philippines and murdered our people by the thousands, he was assassinated in turn by anarchist Leon Czolgosz. We mention these examples of direct action not because we are asking you to kill the murderer of Laude, but rather to show you that the anarchist movement has historically acted where Filipinos cannot.
To be clear, we are not asking you to kill Joseph Scott Pemberton. As anarchists and abolitionists, we abhor such cycles of violence. Killing Pemberton will not bring Ganda back, nor will it be justice for the Trans and Queer comrades among us. What we want is this to never happen again. Do not allow Pemberton to forget the vile crime he committed. You must prevent Pemberton from committing harm again. You must petition Pemberton’s prospective universities and employers not to accept him because of his violent past. You must picket his home, workplaces, and schools with memorials to Jennifer Laude. You must reveal to the world what a hateful and spiteful little man he is. You must make his life hell.
In terms of social justice, you must organize for the United States to withdraw its military assets from our islands, the Philippines. Their hateful and imperialist military can never bring good to our country. The biggest reduction of sexual and intimate violence from American servicemen would be in terms of their total withdrawal from the Philippines.
Above all, we ask you to remember Jennifer Laude as a victim of white supremacy and include her in your commemorations of the victims of white supremacy. She must be spoken in the same sentences as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and all other victims of U.S. imperialism and police violence. Remember her as Ganda, kind, and generous. Remember her family as brave and steadfast in their demands for justice. While Jennifer’s story is not well known in the so-called United States, the injustice surrounding her case deserves your anger and solidarity.
Filipinos/as/xs have thundered that trans lives matter and for justice for Jennifer Laude, but we regret that our voices were not joined by U.S. anti-fascists. Ganda’s death anniversary is on October 11. We expect you to remember. We expect you to act.

Since his July doxxing, Kauffman has been publicly attempting to hide his own fear by trolling antifascists and doubling down on his fascist activity. With he and Sheaffter feeling the pressure, area antifascists got together a few days ago to apply even more, by flyering Mark Kauffman and Sara Sheaffer’s neighborhood.

Kauffman and Sheaffer live in North Philly, specifically in the larger Kensington area. The E Wishart Street and surrounding community are predominantly Latino, further making Kauffman and Sheaffer’s very public neo nazi status and activities particularly dangerous for those around them.
Antifascists posted up English and Spanish language fliers on Kauffman and Sheaffer’s street, all over the adjacent side streets, and in the wider Kensington community. They were also able to pass out fliers to community members and discuss Kauffman and Sheaffer’s presence in the neighborhood. All community members that antifascists spoke to were rightfully shocked, angered, and pissed off that nazis were living next door to them. Antifascists gave interested community members stacks of fliers for further dissemination.

Antifascists in so-called Delaware County Pennsylvania, have been addressing an uptick in fascist activity over the past few weeks.
Popular long standing antifascist stickering spots have become targeted by fascists who have been throwing up their own racist nationalist trash over it. An example of this can be seen in the pictures below.
Antifascists have been combing over the area and covering up and taking down the fascists garbage.
Community members in the area asked to keep an eye out for fascist propaganda in the area and to take down any fascist content they see.
